Henna Design Aftercare

Now that your henna is applied here are some things to keep in mind!!

WHILE PASTE IS ON:

·       Stay warm!!! This is key for your stain development.

·       Steam your henna with a clothing steamer or pot of water on the stove. Steam the arms and the backs of the hands. Steam only till the paste is moist. DO NOT make it wet again because it will smear.

·       If using a steamer DO NOT BEND IT. Let it sit or stand in place and you need to adjust yourself to get the steam. Steamers can be temperamental and will shoot out hot water and burn you.

·       We may wrap your henna with a roll of gauze or tissue and socks.

TAKING PASTE OFF:

·       Scrape it off- DO NOT WASH IT.

·       Immediately apply Vicks Vapor rub on the henna stain.

·       The stain WILL look light. It needs the warmth of your skin and air to oxidize to become darker. - Please don't worry or stress.

·       You can wash your hands with hot water ~45 mins after the Vicks has been applied.

·       In cold weather I recommend reapplying a thin layer of Vicks.

·       DO NOT listen to what others tell you to do for your henna stain. I make my paste myself and I know what needs to be done to give you a dark stain.
